W. K. To & Co attends IPBA Annual Conference in Singapore 2019

The 29th Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) Annual Meeting and Conference took place in Singapore from 25 – 27 April,2019. W. K. To & Co.’s Vivian Wong (Partner, Litigation and Dispute Resolution) and Kenneth To (Partner, Head of Corporate and Commercial) attended the conference on behalf of the firm.

Themed “Technology, Business and Law – Global Perspectives”, this year’s conference brought together over 1,000 senior partners and lawyers from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond to examine broad-ranging legal issues concerning developments in global and regional trade, new technology and emerging trends. Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong delivered the opening keynote address, and Chief Justice Menon addressed the paradigmatic impact of technology on dispute resolution at the Gala Dinner.

Vivian and Kenneth exchanged insights with fellow delegates on key trend and development in the Asia-Pacific legal industry during the plenary sessions. The social occasions during the conference also provided opportunities for them to network with legal practitioners from leading firms worldwide and we look forward to future cooperation opportunities. It was a wonderful occasion to connect with old contacts and make new friends.

We look forward to meeting all fellow IPBA members again in the 2020 conference at Shanghai, China.
